Northern Ireland’s leading lifestyle and entertainment Awards – the Coors Light GO Belfast Awards 2010 – is getting set for its raunchiest, most outrageous show to date, with the news that laugh out loud lothario Keith Lemon will take to the stage as this year’s host.
Renowned for his distinctive bleached mullet, ginger moustache, day-glo tan, shiny suits and crocodile shoes, ladies man Lemon is currently fronting the fourth series of hilarious ITV2 comedy panel show Celebrity Juice with ‘bang tidy’ co-presenters Fern Cotton and Holly Willoughby and funny man Rufus Hound.The creation of comedy presenter and actor, Leigh Francis (also known for his sidesplitting Avid Merrion character in hit series Bo’ Selecta), Keith Lemon has quickly become a top celebrity squeeze.
And now Belfast audiences will get a taste of the Lemon action, as he brings his distinct blend of comedy to the city to make his debut Northern Ireland performance at the Coors Light GO Belfast Awards at the Europa Hotel, Belfast on Friday 26th November 2010.
Widely known as The GONGS, the GO Belfast Awards 2010 are sponsored by Coors Light and are run by Northern Ireland’s number one lifestyle and entertainment magazine, GO Belfast. They showcase and celebrate the very best of Belfast’s lifestyle and entertainment sectors with winners decided in true X-Factor style, entirely by public vote.
Commenting on the announcement, Jordana Busby, Brands Marketing Manager, Molson Coors, said: “We are delighted to announce that Keith is hosting this year’s awards. His unique style and humour will certainly help the event live up to its reputation as Belfast’s most successful lifestyle and entertainment awards ceremony.”
“This is the first year that Coors Light has been title sponsor of the GO Belfast Awards which are undoubtedly the highlight of Northern Ireland’s social calendar. The awards are excellent in the way they celebrate the city of Belfast and showcase and reward those businesses that are helping to establish Belfast as one of the leading destinations in Europe for retail, hospitality and entertainment.”
GO Belfast publisher Bill Penton added, “Keith Lemon is one of the hottest names in comedy and we are really looking forward to welcoming him to Belfast for this year’s awards. Now in their fourth year the awards are going from strength to strength and we have had over 25,000 votes cast this year, which was superb.”
This year’s finalists are due to be announced shortly, and the winners will be revealed at the glitzy, star-studded Coors Light GO Belfast Awards bash on Friday 26th November 2010 at Belfast’s Europa Hotel.
