Keith Lemon hosts new show on ITV

Vernon Kay has been ditched from forthcoming Saturday night show, Sing If You Can, and been replaced by Celebrity Juice star Keith Lemon.

Keith, real name Leigh Francis, will now join I’m a Celebrity winner Stacey Solomon to host the fun filled, celebrity packed gameshow. Let the madness commence…


According to Broadcast, ITV claimed the format of the show was more "madcap" than anticipated, and therefore more suited to Lemon.

An insider said: "The tone took us by surprise a little - there was much more mayhem than we expected and we felt that a comedian would be best suited to host the show.”

Vernon (who may have had a lucky escape) said: "Following the pilot, the producers and I sat down and talked about the tone of the show. We all agreed that because of the mix of comedy and slapstick challenges that it would benefit from having a comedian host it. I'm really happy with the decision."

Celebrities who are confirmed for the show include Jedward, Ray Quinn and Sinitta. It certainly sounds interesting...
